Nightguards

Bruxism & Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD) management:

Many individuals often grapple with pain in their jaw joints (just outside the ear) and recurring headaches, symptoms commonly associated with teeth clenching or grinding during nighttime. This involuntary habit, known as bruxism, is often a response to stress. While bruxism can occur during the day, nighttime grinding poses a challenge as it happens subconsciously during sleep. It's essential to understand that teeth grinding is a result of the functioning of our chewing muscles (masseter, temporalis). A night guard proves instrumental in alleviating this issue by helping these muscles relax and guiding them into their rest position. Typically, the night guard is crafted from a hard material, measuring 2-3mm in thickness. Night guards come in various materials and thicknesses, ranging from soft to semi-hard or hard, depending on the specific case and patient preferences. In addition to addressing teeth grinding concerns, our comprehensive approach extends to specialized advice for managing Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD). At bespoke dental we offer you tailored guidance to help you navigate and alleviate any discomfort or issues related to TMD, ensuring a holistic and personalized approach to your oral health and well-being.

Sports mouthguard

Athletes and sports enthusiasts are advised to wear mouth guards to shield their teeth from potential accidents during games, particularly in contact sports like boxing. Constructed from a thick and soft material, the mouth guard absorbs intense loading and impacts when players fall or collide
